Did you know that Kentucky was the first state in the US to have a commercial winery before Prohibition? At Elk Creek Vineyards, we take pride in our role as part of this rich winemaking history. When we opened our doors in 2006, Kentucky had only four small farm wineries. As of 2021, that number has grown to an impressive 65. Elk Creek Vineyards stands out as a winery that rivals many located in the esteemed Napa Valley. As a testament to our dedication, we produced Kentucky's first Estate Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Sangiovese wines.
